Markus Vicari

As a contemporary clown, my performances tell stories. The audience is always part of my interactive show. Sometimes the performances are clownish, sometimes poetic, or both at once. Some of my pieces naturally use music, and if I can’t find anything suitable, I compose and produce it myself.

My main character is the rather serious clown, in the form of the scientist “Prof. Dr. Theo Retisch” or the presenter “Mr. Snob.” But the funny, playful, and sometimes slightly melancholic character is also part of my repertoire.

I learned clowning, pantomime, and slapstick from Lena Binski and Antonio Villella.
