Peter Sweet presents "The Neutral Mask with Peter Sweet"

Learn how to strip back your performative habits and discover a new kind of presence. During this five-day intensive, participants explore Jacques Lecoq’s neutral mask – a tool for actors, clowns and movement artists. The workshop runs daily from 10:00–18:00 at the Berlin Dance Institute and is taught in English with translation available into German.

What to expect

Exercises focusing on physical awareness, silence and stillness to help performers connect more deeply with their bodies and environment.

Guided explorations with the neutral mask to cultivate a state of openness and neutrality before building character.

Group work and individual coaching from long-time performer Peter Sweet, who specialises in Lecoq-based theatre and clowning.

Note: This workshop is designed for anyone wishing to deepen their physical theatre practice. No prior clown experience is required.
