Meet Clown! with Peter Sweet

Spend three weeks immersing yourself in the fundamentals of theatrical clowning. From 18 July to 9 August 2026, this intensive runs every day from 10:00–18:00 at May-Ayim-Ufer 4 in Kreuzberg. Experienced performer Peter Sweet guides participants through warm-ups, movement research, improvisation exercises and number creation to develop authentic clown personas.

Programme overview

Physical training: morning warm-ups and games to awaken the body and expand your range of movement and expression.

Creating material: improvise and craft original clown numbers while exploring generosity and vulnerability on stage.

Performance: at the end of the intensive, participants perform in a public clown variety show, testing material in front of a live audience.

The course is taught in English with translation into German. All levels are welcome, though some performance experience is helpful.
