Contemporary Circus Dance Physical Theatre Acrobatics Inclusive Performance

Experience the powerful and uplifting “Glorious Bodies” at Chamäleon Berlin—a celebration of human physicality that explores what our bodies can do, how they move, and how they connect us to one another.

About the Show

“Glorious Bodies” is a profound exploration of aging in circus arts, featuring six extraordinary acrobats aged 57-69: Winfried Deuling, Astrid Schöne, Det Rijven, Thorsten Bohle, Paul Griffoen, and Johannes Fischer. Each performer carries decades of circus history archived in their bodies, and this performance celebrates how they continue to move, create, and inspire.

The show is a physical, moving, and deeply hopeful performance that asks: How do aging bodies navigate contemporary circus? What does it mean to see and be seen as we age? Through stunning acrobatics and expressive movement, the show invites audiences to witness the glorious capacity of the human body across a lifetime.
